Morning thoughts

So…funeral today. Well, I say “funeral,” but Mom and I are going to pay respects at the funeral home. We won’t be able to go to the cemetery because of prior obligations. Either way, this year has held a lot more death than I really wanted to deal with. 😕

Can someone tell me how one gains 20 pounds overnight? I’m really not sure how that works, especially considering I’ve really, really been trying to lose weight after my surgery. Blah.

Anyhoo, I’m hoping to get a glance at the beach today, since the wake is being held in Gulfport. As much as I’d love to walk in the sand and get my toes wet at the water’s edge, I don’t fancy walking in sand that has a temperature of no less than 100 degrees. I might as well be walking on hot coals.

Oh yes! Muffuletta pizza for lunch today! I am so ready for it.

“Hell Fest” is on, and I must watch it. Have a great day, everyone!

Edit: I did spend a few minutes at the beach today with my toes in the water, which was very warm, by the way. And the sand wasn’t nearly as horrid as I thought it was going to be. 😊

I am sorry to read about your loss. I also had my own deal with deaths growing up. I had a busy morning. I was with my Mom. I also had to run groceries, and we had lunch together. I am glad that you enjoyed a bit of the beach.

I always enjoy doing things with my Mom, especially now that we don’t have my dad anymore.

Yes, it was. Some days are busier. And some other days are not. It depends. Feel free to check my account. I made you a welcome post with links to check if you want to discover more about me. I lost my Dad at a young age. Mom raised me as a single parent most of her life. Had a few boyfriends but it never truly worked or they sadly passed away too.

Hee. Yes. Slytherin at Pottermore. Weird. Specially that was Puff at Hogwartsishome. Sadly, the community is no longer active. They closed a few months back. Yet the communities are still up for archives. I would have loved to see Freddie too. Have you seen the movie that they did on their story, Bohemian Rhapsody? I have. One of my personal favorites. :)

“Bohemian Rhapsody” is one of my favorite movies. Rami Malik was incredible as Freddie.

Drat. I hate hearing that HiH closed down. I wish someone would make a new community like it.
